Can I earn points when I stay at the hotel?

What is the earn rate?
For members who have not booked accommodation at the hotel where the earn is occurring, members will earn on eligible charges at a rate of 5 points per US$1 on the total check (including taxes, service charges, gratuities) at participating restaurants and bars. No minimum spend is required.

What is the redeem rate?
The redemption rate is 200 points per US$1 when paying the entire bill with points in participated restaurants and bars. Please note certain items and products are ineligible for points redemption. Refer to Terms and Conditions for more details.
Can I earn points, even when I use a discount or additional promotional offer?
Marriott Bonvoy Members can earn points while enjoying member discount (if applicable). The number of points to be earned will be based on spend after discounts have been applied. Members cannot earn points with third party platforms such as but not limited to Zomato or credit card promotions (except for Marriott Bonvoy co-brand credit cards). Arrangement for Club Marriott member discount is subject to hotel discretion.

Do I get additional benefits for being an Elite member?
While this will not count as qualifying for Elite status or Ambassador spend, members with Elite status will earn additional point bonuses in participating restaurants and bars. This is a qualifying activity to count toward your points balance.
Where can I view the points I have earned or redeemed?
All activity is available in your account activity in the Marriott Bonvoy app and online. If you have a valid email address on file, you will receive an email confirming each transaction every time to participate in the benefit.
My points haven't posted, what should I do?

I don't have enough points to redeem for the entire bill. Can I use cash + points to pay?
No, members need to either settle their full account using points or cash/credit card.
We have multiple Marriott Bonvoy members on our table, can we all earn points?
Members can request the restaurant to "split" their check and each member can pay for their portion separately. This will allow more than one member to earn points for their portion of the check.
Can I participate without the mobile app?
You must download the mobile app to participate. In China, it is also available on Wechat.
